BANGALORE: Outgoing Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa hosted a farewell tea party to top IAS officers on Tuesday at his official residence on Race Course Road where he dropped broad hints that he would return to power in about six months."Though it looked like a casual remark made in a jovial mood - that he would return to power in six months - he seemed to mean it seriously. As all of us know, he is a very deep man," a top officer, who was present at the party said.An officer told Yeddyurappa that he and his team of officials enjoyed working with him and it was a learning experience."Thanks for your comments. It is a matter of about six months for me to come back to power. Let's work together," Yeddyurappa said, with a broad smile in a jovial mood.According to a few officers, Yeddyurappa was all relaxed and jovial when he greeted each officer and thanked everyone for extending cooperation in implementing the propeople schemes of his government."I request you to extend similar, rather, greater cooperation to my successor too," Yeddyurappa told each of them.He also personally oversaw that every officer was made comfortable and had his snacks and cup of tea."It was something unusual to see the caretaker Chief Minister in a relaxed mood. I could not see even a trace of disappointment and sadness of losing power either on his face or in his body language," some officers who attended the party, said.
