Woman crushed to death

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 34-year-old woman was killed after being run over by a KSRTC bus on the Thampanoor fly-over on Monday evening. The bus hit the scooter on which the woman was pillion-riding. Sindhu, an employee of Pothys, fell under the wheels of the moving bus and was crushed to death on the spot. Her husband, Sunil Kumar, who was riding the scooter, had a miraculous escape as he was thrown off to a side. He has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital with injuries. Sunil Kumar had picked up his wife after her work and both were headed for home, at Balaramapuram, when the accident occurred. The couple has two children, Geethu and Neethu.
