KOLAR: The survey for laying of railway tracks from Marikuppam to Kuppam has already been completed, the work on the project will commence soon, said Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa on Saturday. After inaugurating the Sangam Community Hall near Bangarpet Railway Junction, the minister said that the railway line between Marikuppam and Kuppam has been the dream of people in the district. Once completed, trains will connect Bangarpet with Marikupppam and Kuppam, which will also reduce the distance, he added.The Minister said the Railway Ministry was already running a number of trains from the state to various parts of nation and the pending projects would be completed shortly.Earlier, Muniyappa laid foundation stone for the construction of an over bridge at a cross in Hunsur Village of Bangarpet taluk.MLA EM Narayananswamy, Divisional Railway Manager Mani, tahsildar T N Singh took part in the programme.
