Yet another global BlackBerry service outage hits consumers

New Delhi: BlackBerry users from across the world are reporting issues with accessing BlackBerry services. A search for 'BlackBerry outage' or 'BlackBerry down' on Twitter leads to numerous recent results with many being constantly added, hinting at a major service disruption.

In a tweet from its official Twitter ID BlackBerry said, "Some of our customers may be experiencing issues with BlackBerry services. We are investigating and apologize for any inconvenience."

This latest BlackBerry outage brings back memories of the infamous service disruption of 2011 that frustrated millions of its customers around the world.

The last major disruption in BlackBerry services had pumped up pressure on its BlackBerry management to make sweeping changes.

BlackBerry is currently in a revival mode with the launch of a new operating system BlackBerry 10 and two high-end phones - the Z10 and the Q10 and a service outage at this point could deal a major blow to the Canadian company's reputation.
