VIJAYAWADA: PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana said Saturday that leaders who served in the ministry of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy will take responsibility if the CBI finds that cabinet resolutions of that time helped YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s businesses.Responding to a query at a meet-the-press progarmme at the Press Club here, Satyanarayana said the leaders would, however, take no responsibility for things that happened outside the cabinet meetings.Satyanarayana said the CBI included Rajasekhara Reddy’s name in its FIR in the wealth case against Jagan only to prove whether or not the then chief minister helped his son’s activities. He said the CBI was still investigating the case and has not found YSR guilty yet.The PCC president said he personally believed that Rajasekhara Reddy did not engage in any corrupt activities. Neither did he help in any such activities.Asked why the state government did not file a counter affidavit in the case against Jagan, he said the CBI did not seek one. Responding to a query on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Satyanaryana said he would accept the decision of the Congress high command whatever it may be.Asked why the state government has set apart 135 ailments covered under the Arogyasri scheme exclusively for government hospitals, the PCC chief said these procedures were simple treatments that any government hospital could perform. The objective of this decision was to enable government hospitals to earn some revenue to improve their infrastructure.
