Pakistan Trolled With Memes After Babar Azam's Men Knocked Out of ICC World Cup 2023
Pakistan failed to qualify for the semi-finals of ICC World Cup 2023 and social media responded with humiliating memes.

Pakistan’s race for the semi-finals of ICC World Cup 2023 came to a dead end after Babar Azam & Co. failed to chase England’s target in 6.2 overs. With this, the semi-finalists of the World Cup were confirmed with table toppers India once again taking on New Zealand on November 15 while Australia and South Africa are all set to lock horns on November 16. Winners from these respective contests will play the big finale on the November 19.

Pakistan started their campaign on a high note before four consecutive losses pushed them down on the points table. With worry of low Net Run Rate looming large and lack of wins, the Men in Green still had faint chances when they took on England on Saturday. But their hopes and dreams were swiftly squashed when their improbable ask to defeat England with a margin of more than 280 runs or chasing the target in half a dozen overs couldn’t be achieved.

If the disappointing run in the 2023 World Cup wasn’t enough, the reports of Babar Azam hanging up his boots as the skipper have started floating around. According to Geo TV, Azam was disappointed by the behaviour of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the former cricketers and is likely to step down from his post. It has also been learned that the Pakistan captain consulted with former PCB chief Ramiz Raja during the team’s training session on Friday at the Eden Gardens.
