It seems like just last month that BTS member Jin had enlisted for his military training and here we are, reporting about him getting discharged. The oldest Bangtan Boys member is set to be discharged from his military training on June 12 and fans are prepared to welcome him back with open arms. It is also said that his fellow BTS members — RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — have applied for a day’s off at their respective camps to celebrate his military completion.
Ahead of Jin’s discharge, BTS’ agency BigHit Music has issued a note to the fans and made a special request from them. The agency urged fans not to rush to the military base camp from which Kim Seok-jin will be discharged to avoid causing any inconvenience.
“We are excited to bring you the news of Jin’s upcoming military discharge. Jin is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged. Please note that the discharge day is reserved for military personnel only. No special events are planned on the day of Jin’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” the agency said in a statement issued on Weverse.
“We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for Jin. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists. Thank you once again for your continued love and support for BTS,” they added.
While fans are advised against visiting the site, Jin’s first event after getting discharged is meeting his fans. Earlier this month, BigHit Music announced that Kim Seok-jin is hosting a fan meet in which selected fans in South Korea will get a chance to greet the Bangtan singer and even share a hug with him. The event will take place in two sessions, with one of them live streamed online. The event will not only mark his return from military training but also celebrate BTS’ anniversary.
