As per Hindu mythology, it is believed that the lord Hanuman was born on Tuesday. This year, the Hanuman Jayanti falls on the same day.

Chaitra month, the first month of the Hindu New Year began on March 26. According to the Hindu calendar, the Hindu New Year begins from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha. Along with Chaitra Navratri, many fasts and festivals are celebrated in this month which include Shani Pradosh Vrat, Paapmochani Ekadashi fast, Rang Panchami, and many others. Hanuman Jayanti is also one of the festivals which takes place this month.

Hanuman Jayanti marks the birth of lord Hanuman. It is celebrated across the world by the Hanuman devotees. Lord Hanuman, who is also known as Sankatmochan by his followers, was born on the full moon date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Each year, the Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated during the Chaitra month. However, this year marks a wonderful coincidence on this day.

As per Hindu mythology, it is believed that the lord Hanuman was born on Tuesday. This year, the Hanuman Jayanti is surprisingly falling on the same day. Since Lord Hanuman was born on Tuesday, people observe fast on that day and worship the brave Bajrangbali. On this occasion, Tirupati’s astrologer Dr Krishna Kumar Bhargava lists down the auspicious date and time of Hanuman Jayanti.

According to the Vedic calendar, this year Chaitra Shukla Purnima Tithi will start on Tuesday, April 23 at 03.25 am. It will conclude on Wednesday, April 24 at 05:18 am. According to the belief of Udaya Tithi, this time Hanuman Jayanti will fall on Tuesday, April 23.

As per Dr Krishna Kumar Bhargava, Chitra Nakshatra and Vajra Yoga will be forming on the day of Hanuman Jayanti. Vajra Yoga is from early morning till 04:57 am on April 24. On the same day, Chitra Nakshatra will continue till 10.32 pm. It will be followed by Swati Nakshatra, added Dr Krishna Kumar Bhargava.

This year on Hanuman Jayanti, Brahma Muhurat is from 04:20 am to 05:04 am. It is followed by Abhijeet Muhurta from 11:53 am to 12:46 pm. The devotees can worship lord Hanuman between 9:03 am to 10:41 am. The Labh-Unnati Muhurta on that day is from 10:41 am to 12:20 pm. Whereas Amrit-Sarvattam Muhurat is from 12:20 pm to 01:58 pm.

Lord Hanuman is known to be the incarnation of lord Shiva. He was a great devotee of lord Ram and helped him in defeating Ravana in Treta Yuga.
