Significance
Ekadashi has great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. This day is considered auspicious to get the blessings of Lord Vishnu by offering prayers and worshipping with faith and pure intentions. In the month of Sawan, Kamika Ekadashi is celebrated. On this holy day, people fast from sunrise and break their fast on the next day, which is Dwadashi Tithi. This fast is so powerful that people can get relief from all kinds of suffering.
Puja Rituals
On this auspicious day, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu on a wooden board and offer flowers or a garland and put haldi or yellow chandan tilak. Offer Tulsi Patra, fruits and other offerings. Chant Vishnu mantras to invoke the idol and recite Ekadashi Vrat Katha.
In the evening, again offer prayers to Lord Vishnu, and chant aarti and people who are not able to offer fast for that long, they can break their fast and eat foods recommended for fasting. Break your fast the next day during the Parana time after offering prayers to Lord Vishnu.
