Designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will open Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 with their presentation 'Jawani Jaaneman' on August 25. There collection is going to be all about the 70s and 80s with the disco theme intact.
Interacting with the IBNLive.com, Sandeep Khosla said, "Our collection is titled Jawani Jaaneman. Since we are from the 70s and 80s era, that’s very close to our heart and we wanted to bring that on the ramp and preferably our collection will do that. You will listen to timeless songs as the models saunter down the ramp."
Speaking about the collection he said,"There wouldn’t be anything bridal this time. We are playing with lots of western silhouettes. There will be hues of white and beige both for men and women. And you will see lots of male nudity on the ramp."
They have been a part of the industry for almost 30 years and speaking about how they keep their ideas fresh, Sandeep said, "We have to be innovative and take inspiration from things around us. Also it is important that we keep moving with fashion and experimenting something new and different every time."
Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla recently showcased their bridal collection at the India Bridal Fashion Week with Sonam Kapoor as their showstopper. The show was opulent and they were gobsmacked with the response. Have a look at their menswear range from their previous show.
