Meanwhile, in January this year, it was reported that Amitabh Bachchan bought a parcel of land in Ayodhya for Rs 14.5 Cr. A Hindustan Times report stated at the time that Big B bought land spread across 10,000 square feet and has a value of Rs 14.5 crore. The purchase took place shortly before the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The Sarayu is spread over 51 acres. Speaking about the property investment, Bachchan said in a statement, “I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.”

Amitabh also has properties in Mumbai. The actor lives in a duplex bungalow, called Jalsa, in Mumbai. The house is spread across 10,125 square feet. The superstar spends most of his time at Jalsa and meets his fans outside the property every Sunday, as part of his Sunday Darshan ritual. He also owns the 8000 square feet property situated behind Jalsa, his third property Prateeksha where Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married, his work space named Janak, and Vatsa, which has been leased out to Citibank India.
