Ananya Panday Reacts On Being Called The Next Alia Bhatt: ‘I Think I Can’t Touch What…’
Ananya Panday will be next seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's cyber-thriller CTRL. It is releasing on October 4

Ananya Panday is gearing up for her next film CTRL. The trailer has been released and it is getting immense love from the audience. Well, as the promotions have begun, the actress and director Vikramaditya Motwane was recently seen in a conversation with Filmygyan. Ananya was asked about her reactions when said she is being called the next Alia Bhatt. She was surprised and mentioned it is a huge compliment.

During the interview, the host picked up a fan comment that stated, “Ananya Panday is the upcoming Alia Bhatt for sure.” When asked to share her two cents on the same, the Dream Girl 2 actress started with a “No”. She then added, “I think Alia is too good. It’s a huge compliment that people think that but I think I can’t touch what Alia has done, ever.”

In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Ananya Panday divulges that she too deals with it. She shares, “My imposter syndrome comes from something as simple as when someone says my name. During interviews and stuff, I feel like my name isn’t really mine, and it makes me feel like a third person. That pushes me to suddenly become like someone else. When I see myself on a billboard, I feel like it’s not me that I’m looking at. The same thing happens when I watch one of my films. I watch them like an audience member and forget that it’s actually me on screen.”

Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber-thriller CTRL, set to stream on Netflix soon. The makers have unveiled the film’s trailer, which raises the stakes even higher on the theme of corruption.

The trailer introduces Ananya Panday as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas, a couple whose content creation has earned them a loyal Internet following. But the story takes a turn when the pair breaks up. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL explores the question: in a world where data is power, how much of ourselves should we share online, and what happens when we lose control of that information? The trailer was released with the tagline, “CTRL your life. ALT your memories. DEL the baggage. CTRL is out on October 4, only on Netflix.”

Director Vikramaditya Motwane said, “CTRL has been a totally unique journey for me and the team. It’s told in what we call the ‘screen life’ format, which presents the story in an almost voyeuristic way, using the technology we use every day. Our goal has been to create this immersive experience, and Netflix has really helped us reach a global audience.”
