Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some suspected to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play.

Ankita Lokhande often talks about Sushant Singh Rajput. In a recent interview too, the Bigg Boss 17 fame talked about the late actor and reacted to all those who have been demanding justice for SSR. Ankita argued that Sushant’s family is going through a lot of pain even today and added that it is not easy for them to cope with the loss.

“I think family, Shweta di ki baat karti hun, everybody in the family is going through a lot because un sab se connected hun aaj bhi. I know they are going through pain and it’s not easy ki vo chala jaye. Toh definitely vo log demand karege. I am very sure ki justice milega [Shweta di and the entire family is going through a lot. I am still connected to them. I know they are going through pain and it’s not easy for them to let go. They will definitely demand the closure. I am sure that he will get justice soon],” Ankita told India.com.

Ankita and Sushant worked together in the show Pavitra Rishta. In the show, their chemistry as Archana and Manav respectively was widely loved by all. The two also dated for some time but later parted ways. Sushant was then found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some suspected to be a case of death by suicide, others had alleged foul play.

In March this year, Sushant Singh Rajpur’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti issued a video statement and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the CBI probe regarding her actor-brother’s death. In her statement, Shweta shared that it’s been 45 months since her brother passed away but they still do not have any update from the investigating agency. She argued that Prime Minister Modi’s help will not only fasten the probe but will also provide relief to “howling hearts”.

I wanted to bring to your attention that this is the 45th month of Bhai’s passing away and we still don’t know any updates on the investigation that is being conducted by the CBI. I would highly request your intervention into the matter because as a family and as a country, we are grappling with so many answered questions in this case,” Shweta Singh Kirti said.
