Anushka Sharma secretly welcomed her son, Akaay, with Virat Kohli. The actress, who was rumoured to be pregnant, announced that she and Virat Kohli welcomed a baby boy on February 15. The couple did not reveal details about his birth. However, a new photo has sparked rumours that Anushka might have given birth to her son in London. On Tuesday night, hours after Anushka and Virat announced that they have welcomed their second baby, a photo of Virat from London surfaced online.

In the photo, Virat was seen wearing a bomber jacket with a pair of white pants. He appeared to keep a low profile with the help of a cap and his glasses. News18 couldn’t verify if this photo was taken before or after Anushka and Virat welcomed their son.

The rumours of Anushka having her delivery in the UK was sparked last month. It all started after industrialist Harsh Goenka took to his X handle recently and claimed that a baby is going to be born in a few days. Without naming Virat or Anushka, he wrote, “A new baby is to be born in the next few days! Hope the baby takes India to great heights like the greatest cricketing father. Or will it follow the mother and be a film star?” Goenka also used the hashtags ‘Made In India’ and ‘To Be Born In London’. This left everyone convinced that the industrialist was talking about Anushka and Virat.

Meanwhile, in a statement to their fans, Anushka and Virat said, “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world!” Anushka and Virat announced.

“We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time,” they added. The couple has been receiving love since the announcement. Ranveer Singh commented, “♥️♥️♥️♥️.” Shweta Bachchan added, “❤ Congratulations.” Alia Bhatt also joined in and congratulated them. “How beautiful! Congratulations ❤,” Alia wrote.

Anushka kept her second pregnancy under tight wraps. Although a Hindustan Times report had revealed in October 2023 that she is expecting her second baby, the actress chose to not address the reports. She was also spotted attending the World Cup 2023 matches post the reports but kept her baby bump away from the cameras.

While Anushka and Virat are now parents to a baby boy, they had welcomed a baby girl in January 2021. They named her Vamika.
