Sivakarthikeyan is among the most popular young actors in the South Indian film industry. He has been a part of some of the biggest films and enjoys a great fan following as well, especially among the young audience. The actor received a lot of appreciation for his performance. Now, the actor is all set to star in another film titled Amaran. Recently, the teaser for the film was released and now, there’s another special update.
According to reports, Sivakarthikeyan’s next film, Amaran, will have three villains. The film is likely to hit theatres in August 2024, on Independence Day. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raajkamal Films International and Sony Pictures International Productions. The music in the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, while CH Sai has handled cinematography.
Sivakarthikeyan plays the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, commander of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company, in the Indian Army. The gripping 90-second teaser showcases the Major preparing his troops for a perilous counterterrorism mission during the escalating tensions in the war on terror.
Major Mukund tragically lost his life in combat with militants in Shopian, Kashmir, in April 2014. He was posthumously awarded the nation’s highest peacetime gallantry honour, the Ashok Chakra, for his exemplary valour and sacrifice.
Apart from that, Sivakarthikeyan also celebrated his birthday recently. He celebrated his special day on the sets of his other film, which is tentatively titled SK23. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss, and Rukmini Vasanth will be seen as the female lead in the project.
