views
India have booked their semi-finals berth in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. Rohit Sharma and men defeated Australia by 24 runs. The major credit goes to Rohit Sharma, who single-handedly delivered a scintillating 92 runs in just 41 balls, propelling India to a formidable total of 205/5. While fans are rejoicing over the team’s victory and celebrating Sharma’s power-hitting against the Aussies, our B-Town celebrities are also over the moon.
Stars including Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Vikrant Massey were among the ones who didn’t miss the crucial India vs Australia match last night. Varun shared a poster of his revenge-thriller film Badlapur with the Indian captain’s face over his. Along with this quirky image, he wrote, “Badlapura – World Cup Se World Cup Tak”. Too good, Varun, too good. FYI: Varun has taken a sly dig at Australia, celebrating how India had an epic comeback less than a year after losing the World Cup trophy to the Aussies.
Ayushmann Khurrana has also acknowledged the team’s ‘revenge game’. The actor wrote, “Moving forward after avenging the ODI World Cup defeat against Aussies. Whatta great team effort. Well played Ro, SKY, Dube, Arsh. This World Cup is going to be ours! Cmon India! #IndVsAus #WorldCup #T20.”

Apart from Varun and Ayushmann, Vikrant Massey has lauded Rohit Sharma’s performance. The 12th Fail actor wrote, “The BOSS has delivered.”
India Reaches T20 World Cup Semi-Finals
Securing their spot in the T20 World Cup semi-finals, the Men in Blue seem to have finally avenged the 2023 World Cup loss. Captain Rohit Sharma wreaked havoc on the Australian bowling attack with an explosive 41-ball innings, which featured eight sixes and seven fours.
Later, during the chase, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh managed to keep Australia going; however, as soon as the duo departed, the game turned over. The Indian bowling trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh did a good job containing the Australian batsmen to 181/7.
India will face England in the semis on June 27.
