Bradley Cooper Opens Up on Losing Best Actor Golden Globe to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Star Rami Malek
Twitterati were surprised by the results of Golden Globes, especially as 'A Star Is Born' lost Best Motion Picture (Drama) to critically lukewarm 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Bradley Cooper's directorial debut A Star Is Born was expected to dominate the recently concluded 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The film, which was nominated in the five major categories, including Best Picture (Drama), Best Actor (Cooper) and Best Actress (Lady Gaga), however, won only one award for Best Original Song for Shallow, leaving many people upset and annoyed on social media.

Twitterati were surprised by the results of the show, especially as A Star Is Born lost Best Motion Picture (Drama) to critically lukewarm Bohemian Rhapsody, and Cooper and Gaga lost Best Actor and Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) to Rami Malek and Glenn Close ('The Wife'), respectively.

Entertainment Tonight spoke with Cooper at the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York, where he received the award for Best Director, just days after losing it -- and the one for Best Actor -- at the Golden Globes.

"I'm a huge fan of (Bohemian Rhapsody producer) Graham King, and he worked so hard, so I'm so happy for him. And Rami Malek is an incredible actor. It's an incredible room. I was actually able to be there with Dick Van Dyke and Carol Burnett, I mean, Denzel Washington -- it's crazy," Cooper told ET.

A Star is Born is the fourth remake of the romantic film that originally released in 1937. It follows the story of a seasoned musician Jackson Maine who falls in love with a struggling artist Ally and decides to help her find fame, even as alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral.
