Bridgerton Season 3 FIRST Look: Penelope, Colin's Romance Arrives This May, Anthony-Kate To Return?

Bridgerton season 3’s first look is here! The makers recently unveiled the first look of the third season and this time, Shonda Rhimes brings us the love story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, aka Miss Whisteldown herself. Each season of the show focuses on the love story of one Bridgerton sibling. After Daphne in season 1 and Anthony in season 2, it is now Colin’s turn to find true love.

The official X handle (formerly Twitter) of the show shared the glimpse video with the caption, “It would seem Miss Featherington has spent plenty of time studying the eyes of Mr Bridgerton, one can only question what will ever come of it… Find out more at the Ton’s most anticipated fan event on February 14th. Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will reprise their roles as Penelope and Colin respectively. The sneak peek video begins with Penelope describing and appreciating Colin’s blue eyes. She said, “Your eyes. A most remarkable shade of blue. And yet somehow, they shine even brighter when you are kind. I might say something like that if you were a suitor.”

The tension between the characters is palpable and it is clear that their chemistry will be sizzling on screen. Even Colin needed to drink a sip of water before he said, “Well, that was rather direct.” It will be interesting to watch how their love story unfolds, considering Colin’s sister Eloise – played by Claudia Jessie – is aware of Penelope’s secret identity as the Ton’s gossip columnist.

Fans are also hoping to get to watch more of Anthony and Kate’s love story, after a sizzling second season. However, it is unclear whether both Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley will return this season. Bridgerton season 3 premieres on May 16 on Netflix.
