Britney Spears, one of the celebrated pop icons, famous for her iconic music videos and for offering a lifetime of musical memory to ’80s and ’90s kids, has made a name for herself in the music industry. Her fresh and upbeat music has been and still, to date, remains a party anthem. Apart from Britney’s personal life, which always remains under constant scrutiny, even after her split from husband Sam Asghari, the singer’s Instagram has also been a constant topic of discussion, given her eye-raising posts and videos.
Similarly, in yet another incident, on Tuesday, the 42-year-old pop icon continued confusing followers with another cryptic caption on IG. The singer posted a picture of Jennifer Aniston on the set of the 2002 film The Good Girl and under that, wrote, “You know when you grow up and realize setups aren’t just in movies???” The Gimme More hitmaker continued, “They can be in real life too and when they are in real life they can be illegal!!!”
Though Britney didn’t clarify what ‘illegal’ things she was referring to, she went on to say, “I know blah blah blah what does this have to do with anything??? Well it’s just all that love!!! You feel it??? Right back at ya!!! I love y’all so so much!!!” before referencing Jen’s ‘cool’ on-set pic.
But what was strange was Brit, who later edited the caption, removing the lengthy message to simply say ‘Hey y’all’ with three tulip emojis and a photo credit to Getty Images. It is to be noted that The Woman in Me author’s peculiar caption comes after she went Instagram dark, which led to speculation that she may have a new project or a even court date coming up.
On April 12, the 42-year-old pop icon seemingly suggested that she has someone new in her life with her social media posts.
The first entry featured a pic of two pink roses with a caption that read, “One plus one is – there you have it.” After this, Britney shared an even more suspicious photo dump where she teased, “I met a new friend,” and added pink tulip and red rose emojis.
The slideshow had random pics and clips, including a photo of a confusing list titled, “wait whose late it figured at 8,” where one of the lines had more flower emojis along with a face palm.
Last August, Britney sparked chatter that she was allegedly dating again after her shocking split from her husband Sam Asghari. Now, we are left wondering if it’s the same guy she mentioned in her post or if it’s someone else.
