The trailer for the eagerly anticipated series Dune: Prophecy, starring Tabu, was released today, October 18, 2024. Thrilled by this development, veteran filmmaker and close friend of the actress, Vishal Bhardwaj, shared a heartfelt shout-out to what he calls the ‘pound’ of his heart.
On Friday, Vishal Bhardwaj took to Instagram to share the trailer of the upcoming series Dune: Prophecy, which features Tabu in a lead role. He dedicated his post to the actress, writing in the caption, “Filled with pride and joy for the pound of my heart @tabutiful jiska koi sani nahi.”
Moved by Bhardwaj’s touching gesture, the Khufiya actress responded in the comments, saying, “I love you more than I can say…” accompanied by several pink heart emojis.
During a conversation on IMDb’s exclusive segment On The Scene, Vishal Bhardwaj lavished praise on Tabu, calling her a “fine actor.” He added that she is a “nuanced actor” and a “sensitive person” with a “solid sense of humor.”
In Bhardwaj’s view, these qualities make her a truly beautiful person who is “sophisticated” in her craft. “On top of that, I have such a deep understanding with her, almost like that of a soul mate. We don’t have to speak to each other, but we know what we mean to each other,” shared Bhardwaj, who has worked with Tabu on acclaimed films like Maqbool and Haider.
The upcoming series, Dune: Prophecy, will span six episodes and draws inspiration from the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
Alongside Tabu, the series features an ensemble cast including Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Joshi May, Josh Heuston, Emma Canning, and Jessica Barden, among others.
Dune: Prophecy is set to premiere on November 18, 2024, on JioCinema, with new episodes releasing every Monday.
