Noida police recently filed a 1,200-page chargesheet in an Uttar Pradesh court, alleging that YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav made use of a virtual phone number to arrange the supply of snake venom for rave parties and communicate instructions to snake charmers. According to NDTV, the chargesheet reveals alarming details regarding Yadav’s alleged involvement in orchestrating the procurement of venom for these events. According to the chargesheet, Elvish employed a virtual phone number for this purpose, providing better privacy and independence from a specific location or device.
The chargesheet outlines the process: When organising a party that needed venom, Elvish Yadav would call his friend Vinay using the virtual number. Vinay would then convey the instructions to Ishwar, who would inform the snake charmers. As a result, the snake charmers would come to the party location with their snakes. Police have found records of Elvish’s virtual number in Vinay’s call history.
Noida police reported that venom extraction from snakes took place at a banquet hall owned by Ishwar. The chargesheet alleges that Elvish Yadav remained in contact with snake charmers, who are currently imprisoned. Police officer Vidya Sagar Mishra told NDTV that the venom confiscated from the snake charmers is from krait snakes, a type of cobra. “We have filed a chargesheet against all named accused. We have also included statements by an adequate number of witnesses. This includes an expert from Mumbai’s Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology.,” he said.
Elvish Yadav, previously held in Noida Jail, is out on bail. The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code, they said. In early November, it was reported that raids were conducted in Noida Sector 49, and five cobra snakes were recovered from the raid. It was revealed that nine other snakes were also rescued in the raid, while snake venom was also found at the spot. In the investigations that followed, the people who were arrested took the name of Elvish.
