How Darshan’s Close Friends From The Film Industry Are Coping With His Arrest

Darshan Thoogudeepa had a powerful presence in the Kannada film industry. With almost every release of his films, the theatres would go housefull and records were shattered with box office collections. Ever since his involvement in the Renukaswamy murder case, where he is one of the alleged accused along with his rumoured girlfriend Pavithra Gowda, his fans are keenly waiting for his return to the films. Darshan was a role model, who used to give advice and promote films of his friends and hence, now there are questions about what they are up to and how are they coping in the absence of the actor. Renuka Swamy worked in a pharmacist company and allegedly sent obscene messages to actress Pavithra Gowda. As per reports, Darshan may have acted on her behalf. Reportedly, Renukaswamy was kidnapped and beaten up, while he was kept in a shed. His body was found the next day, dumped near a stormwater drain where a food delivery agent discovered it. Now, Darshan is currently behind bars along with his aides.

Ever since Darshan went to jail, his close friend Dhanveer has met him multiple times. While Darshan initially refused to meet him, his friend continued to visit him and reportedly went to many temples to pray for the star’s well-being. He is known to be keeping a low profile and is staying away from films and social media.

Apart from Dhanveer, another close associate of Darshan is actor Yashas Surya. Reportedly, Darshan played a crucial role in helping Yashas in the industry and was instrumental in getting Yashas a meaty role in Garadi.

Darshan is also known to have stepped in to support Ambareesh’s son, Abhishek in the debut film Amar and even played a special role in his film. Now that the actor is behind bars, Abhishek too is keeping a low profile regarding his works.

Another close friend of Darshan is Vinod Prabhakar, who visited the jail on the first day. Reportedly, he is deeply affected by the actor’s arrest and has remained quiet. He has become quite inactive on social media.

Actor Chikkanna might have to testify against Darshan in the Renukaswamy murder case. Just like others, Darshan was a role model for Chikkanna as well. In fact, Darshan used to spend a lot of time with Chikkanna and used to praise his performances as well.
