There have been several discussions and heated debates about the most deserving films in 2014. The past year saw an interesting blend of films that won commercial success and critical acclaim. So while the big films got bigger, several offbeat projects also found several takers. In the second edition of IBNLive Movie Awards, we select nominees in various popular categories and allow our readers decide the outcome.

Nominees for Best Female Debut are:
Kriti Sanon: There is something extremely charming about Kriti Sanon's smile. The actress made her debut opposite Tiger Shroff in 'Heropanti' and managed hold her own in a film which mainly aimed to showcase Tiger's various talents.
Niharika Singh: Former beauty queen Niharika Singh made heads turn last year in Cannes film festival with her performance in critically acclaimed 'Miss Lovely'. The film finally released in India this year and we surely hope to see more of Singh in future films.
Patralekha: Patralekha held her own in 'Citylights' a film which had National Award winner Rajkummar Rao playing the lead. To play a role of a villager struggling to survive in a city in Mumbai in your first film needs talent and Patralekha managed to get it just right.
