Milind Soman is considered one of India’s most fit celebrities, who, at 58, continues to prioritize workouts and healthy eating regularly. He often shares motivational content on Instagram and recently, he made headlines by jogging barefoot in Grindelwald, Switzerland, despite 3-degree Celsius weather. Soman not only maintains his fitness but also encourages others to stay in shape and active. Interestingly, to make people healthy, he has a unique rule for anyone asking for pictures with him. He makes his fans, crew members and even family, do push-ups if anyone wishes to take a selfie with him. Recently, he shared photos and videos on Instagram of his Indian fans in Switzerland performing push-ups in return for pictures with him.
In the post, he shared that just one minute of exercise could transform anybody’s life. In the pictures and videos shared by the actor, Soman is seen making people do push-ups in various unconventional places like railway stations, busy roads and even during hikes. Instead of simply waiting for his fans to finish their exercise, Soman also encourages them to perform it with dedication. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Fit Indians in Switzerland. Selfies are so much more fun after a few pushups. Roz karo, faayda hoga, one minute can change your life.”
Earlier when Milind Soman’s video of making his crew member push up during rainy weather made headlines, the actor speaking with ETimes said, “It’s the same wherever I go- film sets, airports, restaurants or highways. Age no bar. Sometimes the people are in their 60’s or 70’s. They are also welcome to do more if they want. Chatting is free.”
Revealing how he came up with the idea, the actor revealed, “The whole selfie craze was picking up. People started taking pics with anybody they recognised. I don’t really like being photographed unless I am being paid for. But I didn’t want to say no to a pic. So I thought that if I asked them to do something meaningful for themselves before the pic, it would make more sense to me. I thought most people would refuse. But to my pleasant surprise almost 95% of people try, even if they have never exercised before.”
Milind Soman even has a rule for both genders, as he asks women to do at least 10 push-ups, while men have to perform at least 20.
