Subramani got married in a private ceremony in 2014 to a woman named Bhuvaneshwari.

Vadivelu is one of the strongest pillars of slapstick comedy in Tamil cinema and has entertained the Tamil cine-goers for almost three decades. The Pokkiri actor’s ability to effortlessly take the shape of the character he is playing on screen has drawn a lot of critical appraisal from all corners. Fans are also inquisitive to know about his family life.

Vadivelu has been married to Visalatchi and has embraced parenthood with four children, i.e.- one son and three daughters. Currently, pictures of his son Subramani have surfaced on social media. Subramani got married in a private ceremony in 2014 in a simple ceremony to a woman named Bhuvaneshwari without the presence of important film world personalities or from the field of politics. Only close relatives and friends were present. Filmmaker Yuvaraj Dhayalan, who directed Vadivelu’s film Tenaliraman and another director Adam Bhava were present at the ceremony. Vadivelu’s daughter’s marriage was also privately done in 2013.

Despite hailing from a film background, Vadivelu’s son Subramani could never make inroads in the film industry. In an interview with a YouTube channel, he revealed that he wanted to act in the films but got no chance. According to him, his father never made any recommendations for him because it would hamper his career prospects in the long run. As per reports, Subramani currently works as a farmer on a farm inherited from his father in a remote village.

Social media users appreciated Subramani for his modest nature and how he humbly interacted with the interviewers.

Talking about Vadivelu, he last acted in the film Chandramukhi 2 starring Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, and others. This film performed at the box office and critics criticised it for weak writing and poor music. Kangana’s fans, who were eagerly anticipating the release of his film also received backlash for her extended cameo and Bharatanatyam performance.

Vadivelu, who played the role of Murugesan in this film is the only actor from the first instalment of Chandramukhi to play an important role in the sequel as well. It was released at the cinemas on September 28, 2023.
