Indian Idol 14 Winner Vaibhav Gupta Wants To Sing For Salman Khan: 'It Has Been My Dream' | Exclusive
Vaibhav Gupta recently emerged as the winner of Indian Idol season 14. He has now opened up about his future plans.

Kanpur’s Vaibhav Gupta recently emerged as the winner of Indian Idol season 14. The grand finale of the show was held on March 3 when Gupta was announced as the winner of the singing reality show. Besides him, other finalists were Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury, Ananya Pal, Adya Mishra, Piyush Panwar and Anjana Padmanabhan.

Talking about his victory, Vaibhav Gupta exclusively told News18 Showsha that winning Indian Idol is like a dream-come-true to him. “I always dreamt of this. It was my dream to become Indian Idol someday. My dream has come true today. I worked hard for this. When I entered the show, I had decided that I have to lift the trophy,” he told us and then added, “They (parents) are very proud of me. I am happy that I can provide this happiness to my parents, my family.”

Now that the singing reality show is over, Vaibhav wants to make his independent music. Sharing his plans about the same, the Indian Idol 14 winner revealed that he will soon release a composition which will be titled ‘Udaan’.

“I am planning to make independent music. I am going to make some brilliant compositions. I want to make my dream studio from my prize money. I will think of its name also and I will make my music in that studio. These are my plans for now. I am also going to make a composition soon. It will not just be about my journey but also the journey of all those who are achieving their dreams. The song will be titled ‘Udaan’,” he said.

Vaibhav also revealed that he wants to step into Bollywood and wants to sing for Salman Khan. “I will surely do something in Bollywood. I want to sing for Salman (Khan) sir. It has always been my dream. I also want to sing for Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh,” he shared.

The young artist concluded by saying his victory is a befitting answer to those who doubted his singing career. “Several people said, ‘singing se kya ho jaaega’, ‘kab tak gaate rahoge’. I could not answer them then but now I would surely want to tell them that I am winning hearts with my singing. It is a big thing,” he said.
