In a recent interview, Jaaferi shared his excitement about taking on a darker and more complex character: “I started my career by playing the character of a Villain in the film Meri Jung. I have played different characters on screen but I think when I play comedy people enjoy that more. I was really happy and excited when I received this offer to play a villain as I was tired of playing comedy characters on screen. I watched the first season of Disney+ Hotstar’s Taaza Khabar and I liked it.”
Jaaferi also expressed his admiration for his co-star Bhuvan Bam, who not only stars as Vasya but also serves as a producer for the series. “Before I got to know Bhuvan personally I used to think that he is a very funny guy but when I did this show with him I realised that he is even a better performer. When I read the script of Season 2, I felt that this role for me would be versatile and different.”
