Jigra: Mahesh Babu Calls Alia Bhatt Film A 'Blockbuster', Rashmika Mandanna Lauds Actress' 'Talent And Craft'
Alia Bhatt is receiving immense love for her role as Satya in Vasan Bala's Jigra.

Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra is finally out in theatres and has been receiving rave reviews from viewers and critics alike. Alia’s friends and colleagues from the Indian film industry have also joined the bandwagon and have lauded the actress for her stellar performance in this Vasan Bala film.

Rashmika Mandanna said, “I had watched this film and I couldn’t stop myself from giving a tight hug to the team. Alia Bhatt, You are an absolute blessing for us all! Thank you for letting us witness your talent and your craft. Vedang Raina, I want to watch more and more and more of you.”

She added, “Vasan Bala sir, henceforth I will be rooting for you always. Rahulaaaa… you have absolutely surprised me… the Rahulaaaa I know to Muthu in ‘Jigra’ is oh so surprising in a good way.” Rashmika also lauded Shaheen Bhatt and Karan Johar for producing the film.

Mahesh Babu wrote, “Looks like a blockbuster already! All the best to @aliaa08 and the entire team for the release today!” Alia reacted to Mahesh’s wishes and wrote, Thank you so much, Sir, means a lot coming from you.”

Filmmaker Gunneet Monga wrote, “#Jigra is so so so good! I haven’t cried so much in a movie ever ♥️ @aliaa08 is beyond magical @Vasan_Bala your craft is genius. Loved the play of language & yet so emotional. Edit & BGM are one of the best. #VedangRaina – a star is born.”

Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor also showed their excitement for Jigra by sharing the film’s release announcement post on their Instagram stories with heart emojis. Rana Daggubati urged his X followers to buy tickets for the film.

News18 Showsha gave the film 4.5/5 stars. Our review reads, “Even at 2 hours 35 minutes, Jigra makes for an exhilarating ride. It rarely drops pace and keeps you engaged throughout the narrative. The final jailbreak sequence in the second half will push you toward the edge of your seat and leave you biting your nails. You’ll find yourself wishing and hoping and your heart beating for a bloody and bruised Satya to win against the whole world against all odds.”

“Despite being a narrative high on drama, Jigra never once felt theatrical. And the credit for the same goes to both the director and his actors. And while it may remind you of Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi’s Gumrah, Jigra serves as a perfect palate cleanser and gives hope that Bollywood’s good times aren’t over yet. Jigra is audacious, trailblazing, sugar, spice, and everything nice and is a must-watch. Don’t miss this one,” the review also mentions.
