The Kapoor Christmas lunch is one of the much-awaited Christmas events in B-Town, and many members of Bollywood’s first family gathered together to honour the tradition this year as well. Kareena Kapoor Khan turned up with husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur, Karisma came with her children Samaira and Kiaan, and Randhir Kapoor came suitably dressed in a Santa cap.
Taimur was the centre of attention at last year’s lunch. Videos of his uncles, Ranbir Kapoor and Armaan Jain, playing with him were all over the internet. Needless to say, he was the highlight this year too, showing up in a blue denim jacket and pants, matching his dad’s blue kurta. Kareena kept her look simple in a crisp white shirt.
Karisma Kapoor shared a family portrait of herself with her son Kiaan, daughter Samaira, mother Babita, dad Randhir and sister Kareena with little Taimur. "Christmas Lunch, the tradition continues... Thank you #kunalkapoor @zahankapoor @shairakapoor for always being fabulous hosts. Missed all our family members who couldn’t make it today," she posted.
Ranbir Kapoor, who has been missing in action at major social events in B-Town recently, was sure to make time for his family on Christmas this year as well. Missing from the gathering this year were Ranbir's parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. His sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared photos of herself with her mother in New York, where Rishi Kapoor is being treated for an unknown illness.
The Christmas lunch is a long-standing tradition in the Kapoor household, started by the late actor Shashi Kapoor and his wife Jennifer. Their children, Kunal, Karan and Sanjana Kapoor continue to host the annual event.
