The Summer Olympics 2024 has kickstarted in Paris, with the grand opening ceremony on Friday. As India has sent a 117-member contingent this year, Bollywood celebs are coming forward to sending their best wishes to the athletes. Joining the bandwagon, actor Kartik Aaryan was among the first ones to wish them luck. The Chandu Champion star shared a long note, also expressing his pride in seeing the Indian flag at the top. He shared a picture from his latest film, reflecting on his own journey in portraying Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar.
“Wishing All the best to the athletes representing our nation at the Paris Olympics 2024. Playing an Athlete in #ChanduChampion has been an incredible experience and honor. The feeling of holding the medal and seeing the Indian flag on top cannot be expressed in words. More strength to all you Champions!! Give your best and make us proud,” Kartik wrote on Instagram.

The 2024 biographical sports drama film Chandu Champion proudly tells the story of Petkar, India’s pioneering gold medalist, who came out of a small village in Maharashtra and represented India at the prestigious Olympic Games. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. In the meantime, Kartik Aaryan presently has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the pipeline with Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan. The film is set for a Diwali 2024 release.
Bollywood Celebs Sends Best Wishes To Indian Athletes
Many others, including Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty, have also cheered for the Indian contingency through their respective social media handles.

The Singham actor tweeted his message on the X and added, “To all Indian Athletes, You are the pride of our nation. The best at what y’all do. Be assured that we will be cheering our hearts out to see you perform. It’s time to bring home the hardware. Cheers and good luck!”

The Paris Olympics 2024 began on Friday, June 26 and will conclude on August 11 with a closing ceremony.
