Do you know about the actress Radhika Kumaraswamy? She is a popular face in the Kannada film industry. She has reportedly also acted in the Tamil industry. Starting her acting career at a very young age, Radhika gained massive fame for her performance in the 2003 film Eyarkai. She was seen alongside artists like Arun Vijay, Senthil, Pasupathy and Chinnijayanth. Her name took the headlines due to her relationship with a former Chief Minister.
Radhika’s marriage with former chief minister of Karnataka H. D. Kumaraswamy sparked a massive stir in the film industry. Everyone was surprised after the actress decided to marry the popular politician in 2006. This was because Radhika was around 27 years younger than H. D. Kumaraswamy. It was reportedly the second marriage of both Radhika and Kumaraswamy. The politician tied the knot with Anitha Kumaraswamy in 1986. Radhika’s first marriage took place in the year 2000 with a person named Ratan Kumar. However, the marriage did not last long, as her first husband passed away due to a heart attack in 2002.
Radhika’s decision to marry former Karnataka CM, H. D. Kumaraswamy, was strongly opposed by her father. The popular actress decided to marry Kumaraswamy secretly, defying her father’s decision. This decision left her father and all her family members surprised.
Talking about her entry into the film industry, Radhika started her acting career with the film, Ninagagi. She continued to amaze the audience with her fine performance. After acting for more than 25 years, the actress also decided to produce films which included Lucky, Sweety Nanna Jodi and Capture. Radhika is presently a full-time producer and actor having a net worth of Rs 124 crore, as per reports. She will be soon seen in the film, Bhaira Devi. Directed by Shreeji, it is expected to hit the theatres on October 3.
