Malayalam audiences are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming film Adios Amigo, headlined by Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu. There has been a lot of excitement amongst the fans ever since the film was first announced. Now, to further increase the hype, the makers have dropped their first single titled Manne Nambi, whose music has already left fans enthralled. What particularly caught my attention was the contrasting lives of the two lead characters in the film.
Manne Nambi introduces Suraj Venjaramoodu as a simple and ordinary villager. The song then introduces the contrasting character of Asif Ali, who has been portrayed as modern and stylish. The song centres around the theme of trust. The newly-launched music video shows Asif Ali dressed smartly and travelling in a metro where he can be seen drunk and mixing alcohol. This irks a fellow passenger who complained to the authorities. The security officials caught Asif Ali’s character, deboarded the metro and handed him over to the police officials. He holds significant influence and connection and they let him go. Meanwhile, Suraj can be seen dressed in a simple blue shirt and white lungi folded above his knees as he travels in a bus and notices other people’s daily struggles.
Fans were delighted to listen to the new track. A comment read, “Now there is no Malayalam movie without Dabzee’s songs … Everything is great." Another wrote, “No one can replace Asif and Dabzee." Yet another fan wrote, “Asif is not simply acting, he is just living in that character."
Adios Amigo is directed by Nahas Nazar and written by Thankam. The film promises a great narrative with amazing character buildup. It is produced by Ashiq Usman. The cinematography is handled by Jimshi Khalid and Gopi Sunder scored the music. The film was initially scheduled to hit the theatres on August 2 but has now been postponed to August 15.
Asif Ali shared a social media update to announce this, where he wrote: “A little delay, a lot more excitement! We’re pushing back the release of Adios Amigo to August 15."
Adios Amigo also features actors like Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi, Althaf Salim, Jinu Joseph, Salim Hassan, Anagha, Muthumani, and Riaa Saira in prominent roles.
