The popular show Maharashtracha Favourite Kon honours the best Marathi films and shows. The award ceremony, anticipated by viewers and actors alike, is set to air on Zee Talkies. Presented by the Marathi television channel, these awards aim to honour excellence in Marathi cinema. Since 2009, it has been an annual tradition, with the latest, the 14th edition, to be held in 2024.
Although the ceremony is scheduled to air on February 18 at 7 pm on Zee Talkies channel, the winners have already been announced. The event saw many notable personalities and honoured several individuals for their contributions. This year, the film Ved, starring Riteish and Genelia, stood out, winning multiple awards. Actress Mrinal Kulkarni also received recognition at the event.

Mrinal Kulkarni clinched the Maharashtracha Favourite Supporting Actress award for her portrayal of Jijau in the 2023 film Subhedar. Maharashtra residents cast their votes, selecting Kulkarni as their favourite.
After receiving the award, Mrinal Kulkarni said, “I come from a generation that deeply respects the history, bravery, and sacrifices of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.” She added, “Playing his character brings me immense joy, and as an actress, I’m proud of how it has enriched me.” Reflecting on her past achievements, she noted, “During the 2023 award ceremony hosted by Zee Talkies channel, I was fortunate to receive not one, but two awards.”
Mrinal Kulkarni added, “I’m honoured to have received the first award, Maharashtracha Favourite Supporting Actress, for my portrayal of Jijau in the film Subhedar. She stressed that the award brings joy and a sense of responsibility”. Additionally, Kulkarni shared details about her future projects, revealing, “In the upcoming movie Shivrayancha Chhava, I’ll be stepping into the role of Jijau Aai Saheb”.
Earlier, Mrinal Kulkarni was honoured with the supporting actress award for her role in the film Ye Re Ye Re Paisa. Now, she has once again achieved this accolade. She shot to fame with projects including Sahela Re, Sher Shivraj, and Prem Mhanje Prem Mhanje Prem Asta. Soon, she is going to star in the upcoming film. Soon, she is going to be seen in the upcoming film Shivrayancha Chhava.
