New Delhi: Sadbhawna Diwas is celebrated every year as a tribute to Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Ji, Rajguru & Sukhdev. This year, the event was organized in Yamuna Sports Complex and saw the presence of an entire team of Mubarakan.
Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, and Ileana D’Cruz were in the capital city to promote their movie Mubarakan and made their way to Sadbhawan Diwas to soak in the atmosphere.
Even at the age of 60, Anil Kapoor was in full spirits as he sang Mera Rang De Basanti. The senior Kapoor danced to his evergreen song My Name is Lakhan, while Arjun, Ileana, and Athiya danced to Hawa Hawa, a musical number from their upcoming movie.
The team paid a tribute to Bhagat Singh as part of the event.
The main reason for the celebration was to appreciate the work done by the NGO. The live performance of Raftaar, Ashok Masti, and Sukh-e made the onlookers go nuts. The gig filled everyone with zealous enthusiasm.
The event was studded with the live performance of ace singers -a Raftaar, Sukh-e and Ashok Masti which made the onlookers enjoy their time. Raftaar and Sukh-e set the stage on fire with their famous tracks- Swag Mera Desi and Suicide. Ashok Masti was seen performing Bhangra with his team and was equally enjoyed by the audience.
When asked about his double-role in the movie, Arjun Kapoor said, “It’s definitely not easy. It is difficult. But, it’s a challenge you look forward to as an actor. That’s what excites you, makes you nervous and work harder because you are not just playing, but two and especially with comedy. With Mubarakan being a comedy there is a definite new situation for me.”
The movie Mubarakan is slated for release on 28th July 2017.
