'My First': Ishaan Khatter Gets Featured In LA Billboard Ahead Of Hollywood Debut

Ishaan Khatter is all cheers as he prepares for his Hollywood debut. The Bollywood actor is set to feature in Nicole Kidman starrer The Perfect Couple. Ahead of its Netflix premiere, Ishaan Khatter got featured on a billboard for the very first time on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Celebrating this significant milestone, the actor shared a video of the billboard on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “My first billboard in Sunset Blvd! Ft only the most appropriate commentary by @evehewson,” referring to his co-star Memphis Eve Sunnyday Iris Hewson, aka Eve Hewson.

“Sept 5th. The Perfect Couple. Netflix. Let’s Go,” he added. Additionally, Ishaan also shared a picture of his passport and a flight ticket, suggesting that he might be taking a trip abroad. “May the excitement begin,” a message read.

Earlier in July, the actor dropped the teaser of the miniseries, giving glimpses of his look. The teaser shows a married couple, novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman) and Tag Winbury (Liev Schreiber), who are planning their son’s wedding to Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson). However, things go south after a body mysteriously turns up on the beach, leaving everyone in the trap of suspicion. As the police begin to interrogate the guests, a lot of thrilling family secrets are uncovered, including the shocking discovery of skeletons in the seemingly flawless couple’s closet.

The teaser has a brief appearance by Ishaan; however, details about his character’s involvement in the mystery are yet to be revealed.

While speaking about the project, the Dhadak star shared he faced a similar audition process. “I got the script, taped myself, and sent my audition, and they selected me. I don’t think there is any difference between working in Bollywood and Hollywood. Even if the language changes, emotions remain the same,” he told ANI.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel of the same name, The Perfect Couple features a star-studded cast including Nicole Kidman as the devoted mother, with Liev Schreiber playing her husband as Tag Winbury. Others include Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s Dakota Fanning, who portrays the sister-in-law Abby Winbury, Eve Hewson as the bride Amelia Sacks, and Billy Howle as the groom Benji Winbury.

The six-episode series will premiere on Netflix on September 5.
