Stree 2 has become a massive hit, with its songs—particularly Aaj Ki Raat featuring Tamannaah Bhatia—dominating the music charts. It is not just us who can’t stop grooving to the catchy tunes, but also the biggest global stars too can’t stop listening to it. Joining the list of those who are totally loving the beats of Aaj Ki Raat, is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The Citadel star recently took to Instagram to show her support for the team behind Stree 2. Sharing the track from the horror-comedy, she tagged the film’s stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Tamannaah Bhatia. She didn’t hold back on her love for the upbeat song and complimented the leading cast of the film.
On her Instagram Stories, Priyanka shared a picture of the song’s cover art and wrote, “This banger though. Tamannaah Bhatia you’re too good, Shraddha Kapoor always a Queen! Rajkummar Rao gold!”
Take a look at it here:
Tamannaah, clearly touched by Priyanka’s support, reposted it on her own Instagram Stories with a caption, “Thank you so much.” Rajkummar Rao also showed his appreciation, sharing the story on Instagram with the message, “Thank you my dearest Priyanka.”
The song Aaj Ki Raat shows Tamannaah as a dancer, just before the climax of Stree 2. Besides her presence in the song, Tamannaah plays an important role in the film itself.
Stree 2 is part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, which also includes Bhediya and Munjya. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film has been receiving praise from various Bollywood stars, including Priyanka Chopra, following its success. Apart from Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Atul Srivastava, Mushtaq Khan, Sunita Rajwar and Anya Singh in key roles.
Additionally, Varun Dhawan makes a special appearance and Akshay Kumar has a cameo.
As for Priyanka, the actress is currently working on the American action-comedy Heads of State, where she will star alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. The film is directed by Ilya Naishuller and co-produced by Peter Safran and John Rickard. Additionally, she will play a female pirate in The Bluff, an American swashbuckler action drama set in the Caribbean during the 19th century, directed by Frank E. Flowers.
