As promised, Rajkumar Hirani released the first character poster from his upcoming film Sanju and it's none other than Sonam Kapoor who is introduced as part of Sanjay Dutt's crazy romantic life. The poster sees Ranbir Kapoor as a teenage Sanjay, as Sonam stands behind her in a rather jolly mood.
The entire mood of the poster is set in sepia, giving the retro feels.

Earlier, Hirani has tweeted the trailer-release date of the film and said that till 30th he would be unveiling the characters from the film.

Not much is known about Sonam's role in the film and it is said that her credit would that be of a guest star. The actor's schedule was wrapped up in four days and her role is said to be pivotal in Sanju's life-story. Besides Sonam, the biopic also stars Anushka Sharma and Dia Mirza as the other leading ladies. Dia will be seen playing the role of Sanjay’s wife Maanayata Dutt.
Interestingly, Sonam and Ranbir have teamed up again after eleven years of their debut, Saawariya. Sanju is set to release on June 29.
