Tom Cruise To Perform Epic Stunt At Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony And Pass Torch to LA: Report
Hollywood star Tom Cruise, 62, is set to deliver a thrilling performance at the Olympic closing ceremony in Paris on August 11.

As part of the ceremony, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo will hand the Olympic flag to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. In a dramatic turn of events, Hollywood star Tom Cruise, 62 will rappel from the roof of the Stade de France to the field, flag in hand. Although there are rumors of a possible stunt double, the anticipation for Cruise’s appearance is high.

The broadcast will then shift to a pre-recorded segment where Cruise is shown flying from France to LA. This will culminate in a skydiving stunt to the iconic Hollywood sign. Once on the ground, Cruise will hand the flag to athletes from various sports, including a cyclist, skateboarder, and volleyball player, who will then parade it around Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Games.

According to TMZ, the filming for this segment took place in March. Photos of Cruise descending the Hollywood sign circulated online, but the Olympic connection was not initially suspected.

TMZ also reported that Cruise was the mastermind behind this spectacle. He proposed the idea of linking the Paris and LA Games through a series of stunts to the International Olympic Committee.

The Paris 2024 Organizing Committee has kept the details of the ceremony under wraps. Thomas Jolly, the artistic director for Paris 2024, aims to turn the Stade de France into a grand concert hall featuring over 100 performers. Jolly described the event as “a very visual, very choreographic, very acrobatic show with an operatic dimension to give a great visual fresco and say goodbye to athletes from all over the world,” promising a memorable celebration that honors both past and future. He continued, “Together, let’s make this evening a memorable and conscious celebration, honouring the past and embracing the future.”

Cruise, who carried the Olympic torch in LA in 2004, was seen attending women’s gymnastics and swimming events during the first week of the Paris Games. Representatives for Cruise have yet to respond to requests for comment.
