As the release of Citadel: Honey Bunny approaches, Varun Dhawan is keeping his fans engaged on social media. To maintain the buzz around the upcoming series, he recently shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos, seemingly taken during filming. The images showcase Varun in a fierce avatar, with a surprise appearance from Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the final shot. He captioned the post, “Freedom isn’t free.”
The rock-solid persona of Varun Dhawan in the first image as he holds a gun, donning a black Tee with cargo pants has our eyes glued to the screen. Attached next is an image featuring him in stylish casuals comprising a blue knit sweater, grey pants and brown bomber jacket. The third is a picture of Varun with his co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, seemingly clicked amid an action-packed sequence as the duo points their guns towards the camera.
Citadel: Honey Bunny features Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as spy agents Bunny and Honey respectively. Directed by Raj & DK, the series will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 7 onwards.
Varun Dhawan is one of the busiest actors these days, with many films lined up in his kitty including Baby John and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. In Baby John, he will be sharing the screen with Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav. Directed by A Kaleeswaran, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 25, 2024.
As Varun Dhawan continues to juggle multiple projects, reports have surfaced claiming that he will kick off the Goa schedule of his father David Dhawan’s romantic comedy in November. The film, tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, also stars Mrunal Thakur and Sreeleela in the lead.
In one of its reports, Mid-day quoted a source as saying, “The second leg will begin in Goa on November 6. By then, Varun would have wrapped his promotion commitments for the Prime Video series. After the Goa schedule, David has charted out a month-long stint in Mumbai. A set will be erected at Mehboob Studios where they will film till mid-December.”
Varun Dhawan’s future lineup of films also includes Border 2, No Entry 2 and Bhediya 2.
