The upcoming Korean romance drama series Dear Hyeri has dropped a new teaser that promises to tug at your heartstrings while also giving you some butterflies in your stomach. Dear Hyeri is a romance that narrates the story of Joo Eun-ho, played by Shin Hye-sun, an announcer who struggles with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) following the disappearance of her younger sibling and a painful breakup with her long-term boyfriend Hyun Oh, played by Lee Jin-wook. The makers have shared a new one-minute-long clip on YouTube, giving us a glimpse of what to expect.
The latest teaser provides a glimpse into the contrasting dynamics of two different relationships. We witness the emotional complexities between Joo Eun-ho and Jung Hyun Oh, alongside the blossoming connection between Joo Hye-ri, which is also portrayed by Shin Hye-sun and Kang Joo Yeon, played by Kang Hoon.
As per the trailer, Joo Eun-ho and Jung Hyun Oh’s relationship ended after eight years. In a heartbreaking moment, Joo Eun-ho coldly says, “I hate Hyun Oh," her eyes filled with tears as she distances herself from her former love. The teaser shows their emotional distance, with the two standing apart, unable to bridge the gap. Eun Ho goes on to say, “Because I can’t have him."
On the flip side, Joo Hye-ri confesses her feelings to Kang Joo Yeon, saying, “I like you, Kang Joo Yeon. That’s why I wanted to get to know you better." Her bright smile reflected her genuine excitement. Hye Ri eagerly says, “I’m curious about what you’ll do tomorrow."
In contrast, Joo Eun-ho’s introspective question, “Did Hye Ri seem happy?" reveals the sadness she carries, drawing viewers’ empathy.

In one particular scene, Hyun Oh pulls away from a tearful and stoic Eun Ho, while later, he is seen sitting sadly in a car. Eun Ho’s voiceover, “Do you know how much you have to hate something to give up something you want so badly?" further deepens the intrigue surrounding the reasons behind their breakup.
The teaser surely builds anticipation for the drama’s premiere, which will deal with the contrasting romantic stories. Dear Hyeri will premiere on September 23.
