The popular crime drama Mirzapur revolves around power struggles, crime and politics between mafia families of a city. The lead cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi and Rasika Dugal. The series gained huge popularity due to its gritty storytelling, intense performances and portrayal of the dark underbelly of rural India. With the announcement of Mirzapur 3, fans are eagerly waiting for the final season to drop soon. Rasika Dugal’s recent hint increases the suspense and suggests that the next season might not actually not be the end of the series. In a recent event, Rasika Dugal – who is known for her role as Beena Tripathi – hinted at the possibility of a fourth season. She said after Mirzapur 3, viewers will be impatient and wanting for more.
In Mirzapur season 2, Guddu Bhaiya – played by Ali Fazal – takes revenge for destroying his family by killing Munna. The season 3 will see Pankaj Tripathi revamping his role of Kaleen Bhaiya, who is preparing to pass the torch to his son after the death of Munna. Beena Tripathi will be grooming her son to take over the crime empire. Guddu Bhaiya is enjoying a moment of peace after avenging his family’s tragedy, but his respite will be short-lived as new chaos unfolds.
In a recent interview, Divyenndu Sharma – who played Munna Bhaiya – confirmed he won’t eb a part of Mirzapur 3. He said, “I will declare that I am not participating in Mirzapur Season 3.” Divyenndu explained, “When I was in the role, it affected my personality a lot. You shouldn’t put too much romance into a character because that is not easy. Sometimes it got really dark for me. I felt overwhelmed. It is so complicated that you don’t even realise that you are in that zone. It is only when you come out of the role that you realise how dark it was.”
