Ever since Sara Ali Khan confessed about her crush on Kartik Aaryan on Karan Johar's show, the actress has been bombarded with questions about the actor. The Simmba actress is always asked about the progress on the matter, especially after the two were introduced publicly at an awards show. But the 25-year-old actress is keen on taking it nice and slow, following mother Amrita Singh's advice.
The actress is not willing to reach out to Kartik on Instagram or elsewhere, and she revealed the reason in a recent interview. When she was asked whether she should message the Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actor on Instagram, Sara said, “No, no, no... how much! I have said it everywhere. Itna bhi desparate nahi. Mom said you must wait. So, I am waiting!”
When Sara had spoken about her crush on Koffee With Karan, on the couch with dad Saif Ali Khan, the actor's response was, "Has he got money? If he has money he can take her.”
Kartik was asked about Sara’s comments shortly afterwards, to which he replied that he’d like to take her out for coffee. “I don’t know what to say to that. All I can say is that she is very pretty and I am really looking forward to her film,” Kartik had said.
The two were introduced to each other on camera at the recent Lokmat Awards by Sara’s Simmba co-star, Ranveer Singh. Playing cupid, the actor even got them to hold hands, and with a cheeky smile, said, “I'm glad, you guys have finally met.”
However, Kartik later told Aaj Tak that he’d first met Sara at a party, where dad Saif was also present.
