When Surbhi Chandna Was Almost Removed From Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Actress Surbhi Chandna of the serials Sherdil Shergill and the Ishqbaaaz fame is celebrating her 35th birthday tomorrow, ie- September 11, 2024. She has now become one of the most sought-after names in the industry. Surbhi’s acting career commenced with a cameo but an important role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

She enacted Sweety’s character back in the year 2009 in the comedy show. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, the Ishqbaaaz actress revealed, “Even Taarak Mehta’s team was going to replace me. My mom scared me to do better. I don’t know how I performed but they keep playing those episodes even today.” Surbhi also mentioned that the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumar Modi had approached her mother and conveyed to her that she needed to perform better. It is because the 35-year-old actress said that the entire plot depended on her. She added that her mother always sees the goodness in things, in tough times and bad times. According to the 35-year-old actress, she has learned a lot from this.

Apart from this project, Surbhi proved her acting prowess in Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi (2013), Qubool Hai, an episode in Aahat. Then she played the leading role in Ishqbaaaz as Annika from 2016 to 2018. Surbhi last played Dr Ishani Arora’s character in the new version of the Sanjivani serial.

On the personal front, Surbhi Chandna got married to her long-time boyfriend Karan Sharma on March 2, 2024. They exchanged wedding vows after dating for nearly 13 years. Both the bride and the groom looked very beautiful at a pastel-themed wedding. The couple shared a string of pictures that immediately went viral on social media.

Surbhi wrote, “Finally Home after 13 Years. We Seek all your love and blessings as we embark on this new journey together.” In the pictures, the Ishqbaaaz actress looks beautiful in a silver lehenga with a pink-baby-blue veil. On the other hand, her groom Karan looks dapper in a silver-coloured sherwani. She is also seen flaunting her diamond mangalsutra. Fans were gushing over it and many have sent congratulatory wishes to them.
