Yatra 2 More Emotional Than Fictional: Director Mahi V Raghav
Raghav highlighted that Yatra 2's main focus is the Padayatra, with other characters having minor roles and no negative connotations associated with them.

Mahi V Raghav, who has directed Yatra 2 has made it clear time and again that it is largely centred around Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Padayatra. The teaser and trailer for the movie both make this clear.

Raghav highlighted that Yatra 2’s main focus is the Padayatra, with other characters having minor roles and no negative connotations associated with them. During a media session, Mahi Raghav highlighted the film’s emphasis on presenting emotions and the spirit of the journey alongside actors Jiiva and Ketaki.

In response to queries regarding political issues that can spark controversy, Raghav made it clear that the sequences in Yatra 2 are based on actual feelings and experiences rather than being fictional. The deaf girl at the beginning and the blind person at the end of the caravan, he said, represent the empathy and compassion displayed by YSR through his welfare projects and support for people in need.

“Did the emotional moments depicted in the teaser occur? or? Apart from that, did we relate the scene’s emotion to the people involved? That’s the film’s main goal. One could interpret certain scenes as YSR’s numerous successful initiatives for the underprivileged and disabled. We have shown the character of the blind man to highlight that when YS Jagan went on a padayatra, many people stood behind him. In this film, the reasons for YSR’s death are not shown. It only revolves around the point of a promise given by a father to a son,” Raghav said.

Mahi V Raghava has decided to launch the movie Yatra 2 at a time when the political heat is running hot in Andhra Pradesh. The film is all set to release on February 8. The film is generating a lot of excitement as it gets ready for its big release tomorrow. The team has already booked the premieres throughout the USA in the hopes of securing a strong opening. The movie is released by Nirvana Cinemas, and they have excellent plans for a national release. A significant portion of the tickets for Premier shows are already sold out. Over 10,000 tickets have been sold, and the premieres have already made a respectable profit. It has now brought in more than $100,000 (over Rs 82 lakh).
