Bollywood actor Aamir Khan recently shot for an exciting project. As he finished wrapping the last work day of 2023, photographer Avinash Gowarikar dropped in a black and white photograph of the actor smoking a pipe, as a part of his #PostPackUp series. Sharing the photo, he wrote, “The last #PostPackUpShot of 2023 after an exhausting shoot with my one & only Amerikhan!! Nothing he does is ‘run of the mill’… Something crazzzy coming up soon!!”

Meanwhile on the personal front, Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira is all set to get married on January 3. She will be marrying her long time boyfriend Nupur Shikhare. A source close to News18, shared exclusively, “The Khan family is elated as they’re going to start the new year with a bang. Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra’s plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place – one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur – between January 6 and 10.”
We have also learnt that Aamir is particularly excited to get his daughter married and has personally been making calls to his friends and peers in B-town to grace the wedding and bless the couple. “Most actors aren’t in town due to the holiday season. But be assured that it’s going to be a star-studded affair. Those who won’t be able to make it to their big day will be a part of the reception in Jaipur,” adds the source.
And to honour Nupur’s roots, the lovebirds will have a Maharashtrian wedding. Our source also tells us that most of the jewellery shopping happened from a popular store in Matunga, which is known for their traditional pieces and designs. The food menu, however, will boast of an eclectic spread.
For the unversed, Ira and Nupur reportedly met during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 when she moved into her father’s house. Nupur is a trainer by profession and their relationship was just limited to helping her with fitness initially but soon, loved blossomed between the two over some deep conversations.
Speaking with News18 India a while back, Aamir praised his soon-to-be son-in-law and said, “He is a lovely boy. When Ira was battling depression, he was with her. He is really someone who has stood by her and emotionally supported her… They are so happy together. They are very well connected, they really look after each other and care for each other. This might be a filmy dialogue but I feel Nupur is like a son. Nupur is such a fine boy, we really feel he’s part of the family and his mother, Pritam ji, is someone who is already a part of our family.”
He further continued, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon, yeh toh tay hai. Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din’ because I’m very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.”
