After BAN vs PAK, Quinton de Kock Tops Golden Bat Race While Mitchell Santner Remains Leader in Golden Ball Charts
South Africa have three batters and three bowlers in the race for the golden bat and golden ball respectively after their dominant win over Bangladesh.

After South Africa’s dominant win over Bangladesh, there have been some changes to the top 10 run-scoring and wicket-taking charts.

South Africa’s Quinton de Kock now sits at the top of the run-scoring charts after a mammoth score of 174 against Bangladesh making him the first batter to get past 400 runs in this edition of the tournament. He has a 53-run lead over the second-highest, India’s very own Virat Kohli and 96 runs lead over India’s skipper Rohit Sharma. Henrich Klaasen has jumped to the sixth position after a fantastic knock of 90 in just 40 balls giving him a total of 288 runs while Aiden Markram is now at the eighth spot with 285 runs.

Among the bowling charts, Mitchell Santner remains at the top with 12 wickets in the tournament. South Africa’s star pacer, Kagiso Rabada has managed to go up a few spots and now sits at 10 wickets in 5 games along with Marco Jansen who has also taken the same number of wickets in the tournament. Gerald Coetzee has also taken the same number of wickets but has only played four games in the tournament so far.

Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka will be eyeing for the top spot in the wicket-taking charts with the Lankan side taking on England on Thursday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Looking at the previous game, he might find it a bit difficult since it has shown to be a batting paradise with Australia scoring 350+ while Pakistan scored 300 runs as well.

The charts show that South Africa has been stand-out in the tournament so far barring the loss against the Netherlands which was a huge upset. Three batters and three bowlers from the Proteas find themselves in the top 10 run-scoring and top 10 wicket-taking charts which shows how well the side has been performing in the tournament so far.
