Supermodel Ashley Graham recently visited Mumbai for the Jio World Plaza opening. Recollecting her India trip, she shared a happy video documenting her ’48 hours in India’. The video also featured her interacting with Ranveer Singh and Sonam Kapoor. She also spoke about her trip and also heaped praises for the Ambani family.
The video started off with Ashley singing ‘it’s my birthday’, while she ate, drank wine, on the connecting flight to Mumbai. After almost a 30 hour flight from Abu Dhabi, she reached India. She shared, “I am finally in India! It has been on my bucket list forever,” and added that she received the ‘most amazing welcome’ at her hotel. Her room was decorated with flowers, and birthday treats.

In the clip she also mentioned, that she had lost her passport when she had landed.
“When I landed, I misplaced my passport. But it is okay, because it was found within 15 minutes.” The model was then seen getting ready for her Jio World Plaza appearance. On a closing note she added, “And that is a wrap on the most amazing runway show here at the mall (Jio World Plaza). It was absolutely stunning and beautiful. I still can’t believe the whole Ambani put this all together within two weeks. You are incredible, thank you so much for having me.”
The Jio World Plaza launch was full of glam and glitz. Ashley Graham, however, managed to steal the limelight as she slipped into a Banarasi saree for the very first time. She even dropped a few posts on Instagram and shared her experience draping Indian traditional attire.
It was the same saree that she was caught wearing during her ‘just looking like a wow’ moment. Donning the gold-toned Banarasi brocade saree, Ashley – in the clip – could be seen lip-syncing the viral lines.
Jio World Plaza was launched on October 31. Other than Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the grand event was attended by other Bollywood celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Katrina Kaif.
