Mishkat Varma is currently captivating his fans in the daily soap Kavya – Ek Jazba Ek Junoon and viewers are truly enticed by his character Adhiraj. Mishkat is seen opposite Sumbul Touqeer in the show, and their on-screen chemistry is effortless. Months after the show started airing, the actor opened up about his bonding with his co-star and the unique character he is playing on the show. He also shared his expectations as an actor.
In conversation with ETimes, Mishkat Varma expressed that working with Sumbul Touqeer has “been a breeze.” He praised his co-star, saying, “She has no hang-ups, is very relaxed and is a very good co-star as well. She is a very good friend and for me to have a bond with a co-star, it is important.” He added that she has a good sense of humour and is never offended by his jokes which is his way of breaking the ice with others. He also stated that their easy chemistry on screen because they are good friends in real life now.
Further, sharing about playing Adhiraj in Kavya- Ek Jazba Ek Junoon, Mishkat mentioned that he is lucky that the role of Adhiraj is different from many other male leads on TV. He stated, “It’s more about her IAS journey than mine, but at least we aren’t speaking about owning really big companies and sitting at home in the show.” The actor added that the makers are trying to keep things as real as possible and viewers will get to see what is Adhiraj’s true calling and what he might be doing in future episodes.”
Mishkat has been part of several TV shows ever since she debuted in the industry back in 2014, but the actor feels Kavya – Ek Jazba Ek Junoon has made the viewer appreciate him more for his acting skills. Mishkat stated, “I have been receiving compliments for acting, and at times I find it hard to digest as I have always felt that I am an average actor.” However, now that he is being praised, he has been wondering if the compliments are genuine or people are making fun of him. But he hopes they are genuine and that he is finally getting his validation as an actor. He added, “People used to tell me that I am a good-looking guy, but they didn’t speak about my acting. Kavya has finally given me that validation as an actor, that is something that I really wanted.”
Mishkat Varma debuted in the TV industry with the Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and eventually was part of shows like Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and others.
