Deepika Padukone On How She And Ranveer Singh Take Out Time For Each Other: 'It Cannot Be One-Sided'

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the power couple of Bollywood have been painting the town red with their flamboyant lifestyle and charisma. The duo have been in the news recently for their joint appearance at Karan Johar’s controversial show Koffee With Karan. While we have all witnessed the unwavering love between the two actors on the quirky Koffee couch, Deepika Padukone recently revealed how the two take out time for each other, despite their hectic schedules.

During an interview with Vogue, Deepika Padukone shared, “Spending time with my husband is very important to me. You have to make the time. I have to say both he and I make the effort. It cannot be one-sided. We have to schedule it. In our professions, where one of us can be travelling for a month at a time or sometimes he might have a late night and I have an early morning, there are times when we are in the same city but hardly get quality time with each other. It’s not the quantum of time but the quality of that time we have together. We love it when it’s just the two of us but we also love spending time with our families.”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone celebrated Diwali with a small puja at their home. The couple took to their respective Instagram accounts and shared photos in which they were seen participating in an intimate puja. The puja was hosted just a few weeks after their Koffee With Karan 8 episode became the talk of the town. The puja also comes just in time for their fifth wedding anniversary. In a photo shared as part of the post, Deepika and Ranveer were seen holding each other close as they posed for the camera.

In the following two pictures, Ranveer and Deepika were seen performing a puja at home. Sharing the photos, Deepika wished fans for Diwali whereas Ranveer wrote, “Love and Light ♥️⭐️ Happy Diwali @deepikapadukone.” Several fans took to the comments section and showered the couple with love. Many also urged DeepVeer to ignore the trolls and focus on their happy days together.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh graced the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8. During their chat with the host Karan Johar, the Pathaan actress hinted that the two were in an open relationship initially.

“I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to be committed’. And I had fun! And then he came along, so I didn’t commit, until he proposed to me. There was no commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other,” she said. This left many wondering if Ranveer and Deepika were in a ‘situationship’ initially. The duo were also trolled by many for the same.
