Dhanush’s older son, Yatra, has been fined for riding a superbike in Chennai without a driving license and helmet. At just 17 years old, Yatra is not eligible for a driving license in India. The fine was imposed by the Tamil Nadu Traffic Police, as reported by TOI. In addition to not having a license, Yatra was also not wearing a helmet.
The incident occurred in Poes Garden, where Yatra was seen learning bike riding with an instructor. A video of the episode went viral on social media but was later removed. Yatra had a mask on while riding the bike, and after a police investigation, it was confirmed that he is indeed the elder son of Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth.
Even though Dhanush and Aishwaryaa are no longer together, they have chosen to co-parent their sons. In 2022, both the stars used their social media platforms to announce their decision to part ways. While they did not disclose the reason behind their separation, they acknowledged that it was a mutual decision. Despite the split, the two came together for Yatra’s school events and were seen together on multiple occasions.
On the work front, Dhanush will be next seen in the periodic film Captian Miller, written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. The film is touted to be based in the pre-independence era. It was initially slated to release on December 15 but now the makers have postponed its release date to next year.
As per the recent poster by Sathya Jyothi Films, the production house for the film, the movie will hit theatres on the occasion of Pongal next year. According to this, the movie is expected to release in the second week of January 2024. The makers have not announced the official release date yet. The makers have also revealed a new look of the actor from the movie along with this announcement.
